Sandhill Crane Family
When I was a teenager living in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, in the 90s, we'd occasionally have Sandhill Cranes wander right through the neighborhood. They were massive, beautiful birds, sometimes surprisingly approachable, but always fiercely protective of their families. I wanted to translate these memories onto canvas. My goal was to capture their incredible stature, their natural beauty, and that brilliant, vivid red color that makes them so unforgettable. I used bold brushstrokes and deep textures to make the family of cranes stand out against an intense red background. There's nothing quite like seeing these amazing birds up close.
The original is one of a kind. These are the archival prints made from it.

About the prints
Each print is made to order. Posters print on archival paper; canvas prints are produced on gallery-weight canvas over a solid wood frame. Nothing is held in stock, so the studio's print partner produces each piece for your order and ships it to you, with production and delivery times shown at checkout. Keep a print out of direct sun and dust the surface gently. The original paintings stay one of a kind; a print is a faithful reproduction of the work, not the original.
